Typography meets Photography

For this exercise, I started with the pastels because i enjoy working with pastels. I like abstract images and I really like paint splatter because it is just random how it all falls on the canvas and I feel that I am a random person. However, I wasn't able to find paint splatter but I just enjoyed the picture so much i could resist using it. Using the clone stamp tool in photoshop I added more splatter though. I also staurated the pastels and added a lens blur to them so they didn't stand out so much. I am always singing a song and listen to music  every night, so I found some musical notes and lowered the opacity. As for my name I chose to mask the Chicago Skyline behind it because I am from Illinois and have had some good times in Chicago with my friends. I also decided not to capitalize my name because i don't like capitals when i write. I also don't dot my "i's". Overall, I like the way the piece turned out. As my one friend said, "it's me"
